I sort of just thought because everybody's ear canal shape is slightly different, you would just have to put up with varying degrees of uncontrolled bass.

Get them fitted properly and sealed in your ear canal, and you will have full, rich bass and mids.

In this case the dual driver alignment is an excellent configuration, maintaining the very strong, sometimes astounding, deep and authoritative bass these units are known for but also improving the refinement of the mids and upper highs

I don't recommend as highly for listening to music as they lack bass

Thin sound with weak bass

With a twinge of guilt, I activated the vulgar bass boost on my Fiio A5, then let the tunes fly.

It has almost tight enough mid-bass without an overwhelming sub-bass (I'm a tight mid-bass snob, so that is actually a compliment).

Using my modded iPod Mini with a Fiio E07K gives me crystal clear highs, smooth mids, and all the deep, clear bass you could want.

These headphones are absolutely fantastic, the bass is very good and the lows are wonderful too

Which brings me to my two negatives: The bass on these is still only just enough and the ATEs come with great foam tips which are NOT included with ZSTs and in fact, don't fit properly them either.

The bass is extremely solid and not overbearing.

It has almost tight enough mid-bass without an overwhelming sub-bass (I'm a tight mid-bass snob, so that is actually a compliment).

It is very nicely balanced with good clean bass, smooth midrange, and satisfyingly bright highs (without being harsh at all)

There is a pretty well pronounced mid-bass hump that isn't detrimental to the sound

Bass is also very well balanced, clean and crisp not overwhelming because when its overpowering then things gets mudded

In this case, I ultimately ended up with the small tips that were most comfortable to me at a slight loss of a better seal and bass performance as a trade-off for longer wearing time

I use them for in-ear monitoring in live performance, as well as with my phone and am very satisfied with the sound and with the sensitivity of the microphone.

But these absolutely blow the ATE’s out of the water
