Its design is really fantastic, even the design of its package

The Al Star might work better than this plastic Safari, but neither is really designed with tactical needs in mind.

Its gotten a few second looks due to its clean design and a few questions about where I got it.

It almost looks like "my first fountain pen" in comparison to some of their other sleeker designs at a similar price point.

I like the design

I personally like the clean, no frills design.

The design with the clip looking like a paper clip is horrible

I do like the rugged/utilitarian design, though, and maybe I'll try one again in the future and see if I have better luck.

Not everyone will agree, but I like its minimalist, functional design - it has verly little unecessary marks or styling that is characteristic of many fountain pens

I love the design of this pen, ink replacements are inexpensive but not easy to find at your normal store.
