These are practical and the best fountain pens I have found

It is an excellent starting fountain pen, the ink flow is consistent and it always starts writing after uncapping

It is not an expensive fountain pen (there are some that are even cheaper and "disposable") but you don't suffer in quality.

I have other (expensive) fountain pens that never leave my desk, but I'm not afraid to take this one with me out of the office

Obviously this pen is not a very expensive fountain pen that is a 'showpiece', rather it is an everyday pen that should survive daily use and is a replacement for a ballpoint or rollerball pen

I guess that's a testament to the pen, that even though it's one of the cheapest fountain pens on the market, you *still* don't want to lend it out even when you're the only guy with a pen in the room.

I nearly lost my MontBlanc once, and actually broke my Namiki (since repaired) from carrying it around too much in a pocket, so I was in the market for a "utility" fountain pen that I could lose or break without financial or emotional hardship

That said, this pen is the MOST DIFFICULT fountain pen I've ever had

There are some caveats with ink that you don't have with ball point gel like having to write quickly on printer paper or that fountain pens don't work well with carbon paper because you don't press as hard but that applies to all fountain pens along with not touching the nib or your writing for a few seconds while it soaks into the paper; this is common to all fountain pens and not an issue after a week of use anyway

The nib is listed as fine but it seems to write much thicker than other fine fountain pens I've encountered, but I'm new to fountain pens.

Really, really nice and simple fountain pen.

I had bought a cheap fountain pen at Walgreens and it would not write consistently.

It does skip occasionally, but overall the pen is probably the best fountain pen for the money.

But I've never found a fountain pen that works for me, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised this one didn't, either

It's an extremely pragmatic writing instrument, no bells or whistles, just a damn good fountain pen that writes absolutely beautifully.

The nib is very smooth on nearly all paper surfaces, even cheap-o bulk size paper you'll find around the workplace

I write without issue in Moleskine and Livescribe notebooks, as well as in college assignment books and journals, classroom and corporate handouts, and on generic 3-ring binder paper

I did that as well as giving the pen a good shake to get the ink flowing and it worked like magic

I prefer the cartridge system/nib in this one as well as it seems to not leak as much as the pilot ones do.

The result is that it doesn't feel nearly as smooth as it would otherwise, and it doesn't write nearly as consistently.

The point is I love him just as much as I would love a child produced by my biological brother.

The ink that comes with the pen(in my case a blue disposable cartridge) is kind of light and doesn't write nearly as well as the noodlers.

Also the line won't look as elegant as with other fountain pens.

A minimal amount of pressure is require to mark paper and it does not bleed through as bad as I thought it would
