    • If you need a good fountain pen buy this one without hesitation.

    • very nice fountain pen for the price
    • Great value for a smooth writing fountain pen, but it is advertised as fine tip, but the point is not that fine

    • The "Lamy Safari Fountain Pen" is an amazing Fountain pen
    • The Lamy Safari is a great everyday fountain pen!I bought it with the Lamy Refill Converter Lamy Refill Converter (Z24) and the Lamy Black Inkwell Lamy Bottled Ink 50ml with Blotting Paper-Black (LT52BK).It worked right out of the box, no issues at all!!
    • Great fountain pen for the money

    • A good starter fountain pen
    • The Lamy Safari is a great fountain pen for starters or experienced users alike
    • I love this pen, it is one of the best fountain pens I own, and I use it on a daily basis.
    • This is the only reason I gave the pen 4 out of 5 stars (I would give it a 4.5 if I could).Overall, for a lefty, this pen is a great fountain pen to use on a daily basis.
    • It functions just as well as other fountain pens I have that cost hundreds of dollars
    • Great first-timer introductory fountain pen.
    • I have found nothing comparable in it's price-range... and feel it writes smoother/more consistent then much more expensive fountain pens I have used.
    • and you like collecting inexpensive fountain
    • One of my favorite fountain pens
    • It is not an expensive fountain pen (there are some that are even cheaper and "disposable") but you don't suffer in quality.
    • I have other (expensive) fountain pens that never leave my desk, but I'm not afraid to take this one with me out of the office
    • Obviously this pen is not a very expensive fountain pen that is a 'showpiece', rather it is an everyday pen that should survive daily use and is a replacement for a ballpoint or rollerball pen
    • I guess that's a testament to the pen, that even though it's one of the cheapest fountain pens on the market, you *still* don't want to lend it out even when you're the only guy with a pen in the room.
    • In my case it doesn't seem to be the smoothest writing fountain pen I've used
    • My second fountain pen, and by far my favorite
    • The payoff is having a very good fountain pen with me for whenever I need to write
    • This is my favorite fountain pen
    • This was an excellent first fountain pen
    • I got this pen to take out in the field sketching because I didn't want to risk my better fountain pens and I have to say that for a lightweight plastic pen this thing is amazing

    • It doesn't have that classic fountain pen look, but it makes for a great workhouse pen to carry around.
    • I have found nothing comparable in it's price-range... and feel it writes smoother/more consistent then much more expensive fountain pens I have used.

    • I always wanted to try a fountain pen and this works great.
    • Awesome fountain pen
    • This is a great inexpensive fountain pen.
    • Great cheap fountain pen.
    • I initially purchased a Lamy for my girlfriend who had been on the prowl for a quality, inexpensive fountain pen
    • I've been thru many fountain pens and thus one writes smooth and so far hasn't leaked
    • A good fountain pen for starters
    • In fact, it's so lovely that you needn't bother looking for a "better" fountain pen, since there really aren't any that have the same price to performance ratio.
    • I nearly lost my MontBlanc once, and actually broke my Namiki (since repaired) from carrying it around too much in a pocket, so I was in the market for a "utility" fountain pen that I could lose or break without financial or emotional hardship
    • I have used more expensive fountain pens, and this pen works nearly as well as pens costing several times more
    • I've used a lot of cheaper fountain pens and this one is one of the best
    • The best fountain pen I've used, surprisingly.
    • I love this as an affordable fountain pen!
    • Nib is a little scratchyThis is a great fountain pen for the price
    • This is a great fountain pen!!
    • That said, this pen is the MOST DIFFICULT fountain pen I've ever had
    • There are some caveats with ink that you don't have with ball point gel like having to write quickly on printer paper or that fountain pens don't work well with carbon paper because you don't press as hard but that applies to all fountain pens along with not touching the nib or your writing for a few seconds while it soaks into the paper; this is common to all fountain pens and not an issue after a week of use anyway
    • One tough fountain pen
    • The Lamy Safari is a great everyday fountain pen!I bought it with the Lamy Refill Converter Lamy Refill Converter (Z24) and the Lamy Black Inkwell Lamy Bottled Ink 50ml with Blotting Paper-Black (LT52BK).It worked right out of the box, no issues at all!!
    • The nib is listed as fine but it seems to write much thicker than other fine fountain pens I've encountered, but I'm new to fountain pens.
    • Really, really nice and simple fountain pen.
    • I had bought a cheap fountain pen at Walgreens and it would not write consistently.
    • It does skip occasionally, but overall the pen is probably the best fountain pen for the money.
    • But I've never found a fountain pen that works for me, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised this one didn't, either
    • It's an extremely pragmatic writing instrument, no bells or whistles, just a damn good fountain pen that writes absolutely beautifully.
    • The nib is very smooth on nearly all paper surfaces, even cheap-o bulk size paper you'll find around the workplace
    • I write without issue in Moleskine and Livescribe notebooks, as well as in college assignment books and journals, classroom and corporate handouts, and on generic 3-ring binder paper
    • I did that as well as giving the pen a good shake to get the ink flowing and it worked like magic
    • I prefer the cartridge system/nib in this one as well as it seems to not leak as much as the pilot ones do.
    • The result is that it doesn't feel nearly as smooth as it would otherwise, and it doesn't write nearly as consistently.
    • The point is I love him just as much as I would love a child produced by my biological brother.
    • The ink that comes with the pen(in my case a blue disposable cartridge) is kind of light and doesn't write nearly as well as the noodlers.
    • Also the line won't look as elegant as with other fountain pens.
    • A minimal amount of pressure is require to mark paper and it does not bleed through as bad as I thought it would
    • Its nice, but does not write nearly as well as my pilot metropolitan (cheaper and made of metal)
