The All-Star costs a little more but is well worth the investment given the superior quality over the Safari.
-
Love the quality and the aesthetics of this pen.
-
amazing quality, writes amazing
-
Terrible quality!
-
Feels flimsy and poor quality
-
The build quality of the pen is excellent even though it's a plastic pen
-
Great quality and wonderful deal for the price
-
Nib quality is good, you can write very forceful words
-
Aside from the slightly scratchy quality, it just feels nice to write with and puts the fun back into writing things down the old fashioned way!
-
But the pen seemed to be of questionable quality
-
Let me feel happy is good quality and price is the reason why I always choose amazon
-
It's very inexpensive and the quality of the pen is great.
-
excellent pen, very comfortable, great quality for the price
-
The quality of the nib is excellent and writes very well
-
It's extra fine point makes perfect imprint on the fine quality papers, specially the daily diaries
-
Bad quality
-
Great quality, exactly what I expected.
-
Afraid to try, might not get the same quality.
-
Then pen has been very good quality wise and actually looks very cool!
-
It also produce too much ink, so even with relatively good quality paper, you can only write on one side, waste a lot of ink
-
Good to use, nice design, great quality, I love it!
-
The build quality is great and it comes with an ink cartridge
-
Not having too much money, but still appreciating good pens, I like the cost and the quality you get for it
-
I'll probably be using the converter with top quality ink in a the future when at home, but traveling with a bottle of ink does not seem practical
-
Still consistent quality and extremely smooth writing
-
The Pros- Great build quality have dropped it many times on concrete, still works
-
Lamy is a good quality product which gives you the ability to change nibs without having to buy a whole different fountain pen
-
While the design is not as artful as more expensive pens, this is practical, good quality, and made of sturdy plastic (not flimsy stuff like disposable pens)
-
good quality
-
I initially purchased a Lamy for my girlfriend who had been on the prowl for a quality, inexpensive fountain pen
-
The quality is also excellent
-
The quality of the pen is spectacular plus it is very easy to purchase the ink
-
Great price and very good quality.
-
But for perfect quality and least effort, least friction least tiring (because of nice weight balance)... go with these suggestions
-
This pen is cheap (for a fountain pen) and good quality, and is perfect for my student lifestyle.
-
While this pen cannot compare with the top quality pens it can definatly stand beside them
-
I believe all the other reviewers had good experiences, but apparently Lamy does not have consistent quality control
-
The nib is very good quality with and writes smoothly with a constant ink flow
-
I did a lot of research looking for a good quality pen which wasn't going to break the
-
Quality: Mediocre
-
First fountain pen, and I have really enjoyed the feel and quality of the writing
-
Love the quality and style!!!
-
This fountain pen is great in that the writing quality is very good for a relatively inexpensive price
-
Great quality and cost effective when compared to disposable gel pens.
-
Good quality.
-
It's chunky plastic although the quality is superb
-
, I think that this is great for teens as that is good quality and it is not overly expensive.
-
At least a good quality pen.
-
It's also priced accordingly: the Lamy is probably the most affordable, accessible fountain pen of decent quality out there
-
I guess that I should expect top quality given the price.
-
Not much to say... great pen, write great - save money and buy this if you're looking for a good quality pen.
-
I've read some comments complaining that it wrote "scratchy," and I can attest that this is like due to the usage of poor quality inks
-
Top quality, would order again in a heartbeat
-
Good quality!
-
Since I have bought a couple of these as gifts for my friends, I can say that the quality of the pen is very very consistent
-
The plastic is high quality and the cap works really great
-
I write without issue in Moleskine and Livescribe notebooks, as well as in college assignment books and journals, classroom and corporate handouts, and on generic 3-ring binder paper
-
I did that as well as giving the pen a good shake to get the ink flowing and it worked like magic
-
I prefer the cartridge system/nib in this one as well as it seems to not leak as much as the pilot ones do.
-
The result is that it doesn't feel nearly as smooth as it would otherwise, and it doesn't write nearly as consistently.
-
The point is I love him just as much as I would love a child produced by my biological brother.
-
The ink that comes with the pen(in my case a blue disposable cartridge) is kind of light and doesn't write nearly as well as the noodlers.
-
Also the line won't look as elegant as with other fountain pens.
-
A minimal amount of pressure is require to mark paper and it does not bleed through as bad as I thought it would
-
Its nice, but does not write nearly as well as my pilot metropolitan (cheaper and made of metal)
