I have always enjoyed writing with fountain pens even though they are out of fashion

When I started off with fountain pens I imagined I would take my usual obsessive collector path and end up eating cup o' noodles so I could gaze lovingly upon a growing pile of outrageously expensive writing instruments

Get the converter and some Noodler's Ink and you'll find yourself enjoying writing and not worrying about the pen failing.

, I liked that, I have had pens that took awhile before they would begin to write, my only small disappointment was if this nib is a fine then I should have ordered extra fine because it lays a line of ink like a medium, but I will keep it, and it writes as smooth as butter (no kidding), so if you want a smooth writing pen this is it, but if you are looking for a fine

Super smooth writing!!

The nib is extremely smooth-writing and the pen feels nice in the hand.

The only downside to this pen is that the ink flow can be uneven, and you have to find out the angle in which it makes the most consistent strokes with adequate ink flow, otherwise the writing can feel a little scratchy on paper and looks uneven

Combine this with the Lamy refillable cartridge and your favorite ink, (I like Noodlers) for a great writing instrument.

I'm very pleased with it's performance with one single exception, the nib is not as smooth-writing as a Pilot pen I have in the same price point

I found this pen awesome because of: the Quality materials, excellent writing, ligth weigth, can be with you on the airplane without any ink spill

Have been able to get it workable, but it's not nearly as nice a writing instrument as my other Safari.

So I would recommend it for minimal to regular note writing and, of course, signatures.

If you are contemplating on whether or not to purchase this LAMY pen, then let me just say that this pen is an incredibly clean, fine write.

Consider buying "EF" unless you are happy with fast, thick, heavy on the paper wet writing.

The writing is a lot more solid and easy to read, especially with my tiny handwriting, so both writing and reading are easier.

I use this daily as a work pen as well as writing checks, signing for credit purchases and the like.

My Lamy arrived with the included nib slightly offset, and was extremely scratchy while writing
