Just put the battery in and it worked.

BUT, the laptop already comes with a pen, and it is definitely a nice pen (and batteries included).THERE IS NO NEED, to buy this one.

Add this to the fact that it needs a battery to operate and there you have a good battery guzzler

I do tend to use my miix700 quite a bit, as in I rock that 9.5 hr battery down to its 1% warning, tablet is used for drawing so that could drain the pen battery quickly.

Put the battery in and it worked first time.

The battery it came with was not in the pen, but it was corroded so I went and purchased another AAAA battery (that's not an accidental additional A).
