Crystal clear output and decent bass maybe due to fact that it is a bi-polar speaker, but it perfect for my need.

All three worked fine with the exception of one of the units which had a horrible hissing, static-y sound when the TV it was connected to was first turned on.

sound breaks up as you turn up the volume.
