It sounds pretty good for the money when hooked up to decent speakers.

These particular speakers tend to have sucked-out and gutless through the mid region as well

And Definitive speakers are quite pricey, but well worth the money.

They are very impressive outdoor speakers

I had a nice pair of Bose Series 21 speakers I wanted to use to listen to music from my laptop in my office.

So far the quality sounds great but not enough volume, I'm not sure I did not go all the way up since the cheap speaker I had connected to was a 30 year old Panasonic driver, sounded distorted

Perhaps if you have inefficient speakers or 4 ohm speakers the Topping or FiiO are the way to go anyway because each amp, being a much better build, will better be able to handle the demand from those speakers

You might get enough volume on this amp if you have a pair of very efficient speakers in the 96db to 98db SPL range or add a powered subwoofer to complete the system.

I am powering low powered outdoor speakers with music synched to lights and it works fine for that

The amp could not produce even a half of the sound the speakers were capable of produce

Obviously the better the speakers the better the sound, but this amp will not hold you back.

The bottom line for me is - this will sound as good as the speakers you put the sound through

looks sharp, shipped new and undamaged; easy to connect and use; never even gets warm, always cool to the touch, even if left powered on continuously; wonderful at amplifying and driving my Sony bookshelf passive speakers from the television audio out, L+R, whether using cable or dvd on my television; amplifier output protects speakers; completely satisfied with this purchase

While I do like the sound quality, I am less impressed with the build quality of this amp, in particular the fragile speaker terminal

If you want moderate levels or have an extremely sensitive speaker, this will work great.

My other installation is on my son's computer and with decent speakers it sounds better than anything you would find in the Logitech line at the same price point.

One of the cube look speaker broke and the amp broke.

My speakers work with another receiver but only one works with this one.

There were some limits to our testing, namely the inexpensive speakers we attached to the amp

Depending on your speakers and the volume levels you want, this amp will run out of steam at about 1/2 volume and you will start hearing distortion if you have good speakers

The EQ is a nice touch though as the speakers sound very dull without it.

Coupled to a decent speaker pair of 85 to 90 db sensitivity, you'd be almost there while on the cheap.btw, I capacitor coupled (470mf 35vdc IIRC Nichi's 105c cus I had them ) to see if even AC coupling headphones "revealed" any as yet unheard sonics

While this may be a good bargain for less than $20, this little amplifier simply doesn't have enough power properly drive some decent speakers at sufficient volume

People that connect this amp to good speakers have more positive reviews of the amp

Listen, this amp sounds great with the right 8ohm speakers

I hooked this to a pair of LG speakers (capable of 150w), they are a heavy real wood box set of speakers.....and honestly, they sound amazing

But this amp works and as a user said you need to connect Expensive high end speakers..... not true just make sure the speaker is a quality

I used 18 gauge wire from the inexpensive speakers that I bought on Amazon as well

Only 20 watts, so you may need more power for less efficient speakers, and not big enough for a bass kicker, but great for a desktop, computer, or bookshelf speaker amplifier

I had some great speakers left over from a very old stereo setup

I went with a very inexpensive outdoor speaker ("Dual" brand I think).

I'd recommend looking for a different amplifier with stronger speaker tabs.

Was able to control the voltage (requires a max of 12v) with a step down regulator ($8) and eliminated the noise with a ground loop isolator ($9).Paired with the cheap outdoor speakers, the performance is ok, but not great as it starts to distort after %60 volume.

Others have stated it helps to have good speakers.

They Dayton speakers are really bad, but this little guy is a big surprise
