I experimented with a bunch of different pens before deciding that Sharpie fine tip pens was the way to go--best saturation/sharpest color with the least amount of ghosting, and it dried faster than a lot of other pens, though it'll still smear a bit if you immediately touch the wet ink

The pages don't rip, the outside color stays true, and I love the subtle dots to make straight lines easy

Doesn't leak through on most pens and colors, however it does have a little bit of a shadow on some pages due to darker colors

I decided to purchase the Leuchttrum1917 because I liked the color, if I'm honest

While this notebook has many similarities to its Moleskine counterparts, I like that this one has two bookmarks instead of one (especially handy if you use this for a bullet journal), has page numbers and an index, and of course I love the variety of vibrant color choices.
