• Reviews around battery drain (2.03 of 5)

    • After six months with the GS5 and a number of irritating issues(USB 3 port wearing out, fake chrome chipping around home button, constant freezing, terrible lag, random unexplainable battery drain) I was ready to go back to IPhone
    • Seems that if you frequently go to areas with vrappy reception, battery drains very rapidly
    • Weak signals force the phones OS to over-work searching for a signal, resulting in rapid battery drain
    • I have tried different batteries, different charging cords and making sure all background apps are closed and the phone remains hot and the battery drains within an hour of being off the charger, which puts me in quite a mess because I am in sales and use my phone as a PA, not to mention to simply keep in touch with clients
    • Then I noticed the battery drains faster than usual even when I'm not really using it
    • Then I went about digging into the settings, and optimized things for battery drain purposes.
    • The only way I have found to stop the battery drain and heat, is to turn off Mobile Data.
    • If I play games on it the battery drains quickly but if I just use it for emails, talking and texting it last a full work day (12 hours for me)
    • Nice phone and features but the battery drain is terrible.
    • The battery drain is horrendous, and call reception is poor

    • - UpdateI removed one star because after a month of usage, battery life isn't as great as I'd like
    • I replaced the stock launcher with Nova Prime because LG's launcher lags a
    • Some G3 owners have said that they returned the AT&T version of the G3 and bought a T-Mobile G3 which works very well on AT&T without the signal reception issues
