Security and the camera are the two main reasons that I would be willing to pay more to get a better smartphone than this, though a phone that gets prompt security patches will probably cost at least twice as much as this.

850.00 for some flavor of Note....or 250.00 for a decent smartphone that has most of what you wanted the Note for in the first place

Some users who are looking for all metal construction will be disappointed, but for those who are looking for a reasonably priced unlocked smartphone with lots of fun and useful features, the LG Stylo 4 will be a good choice

If you're looking for a basic phone that works, comes with a decent enough screen, and don't care much about "feel", this'd make for a great smartphone.

The plastic back (the rest of the phone uses metal, plastic, and glass) does not bother me at all because I usually admire a sleek, beautiful smartphone mostly made of glass for about 13 seconds before I slap it into a sturdy case to protect fragile materials from even a small drop

Although the specs are better on this, the actual sound is not as good as on the Moto
