I tried all different size of ear plugs to get a great fit, but none cut out the background noise

the only qualm i might actually have with these things is that they dont quite fit in the ear the same comfortable way, but my ears are weird and im sure 95% of the people will find a comfortable fit with the 6 different sets of replaceable rubber ear pieces

The long term use is also compromised by an uncomfortable fit which gets intolerable after less than an hour of use

That fit, along with the noise control, totally drowned out the jet engine noise that my previous ear pieces could never seem to do.
