I'm upgrading my rating (2 stars to 4) based on having to troubleshoot and return the first camera, but receiving great support from the seller on getting a replacement.----------------------------------I was really excited about installing this camera since the quality seemed quite good, including a metal frame (vice plastic) and very positive reviews from other buyers.

I did replace the RCA video cable supplied with the product with a Steren 25' Python Home Theater RCA-RCA Video Cable, also available from Amazon, because I wanted a heavier-duty cable that would withstand the abrasion of fishing through tight spaces in the vehicle and also would not likely present issues of degradation image quality due to the length of the run, though it's reasonable to presume that Esky has provided one of sufficient quality to provide adequate video quality, albeit somewhat flimsy and not likely to be so resilient to physical abrasion

The pros:- the picture is not bad in daylight, I was expecting it to be pretty bad given some of the reviews here but it seems fine to me.- the build quality is nice- the license plate holder feels like solid metal, corners are smooth, feels well
