Lifeproof use to use a material that allowed sound to travel over the speaker and microphone, not the case is just solid plastic.

Flimsy and plastic

This case is made from hard plastic, and if you are looking for some "grip" in a case, even a small amount of it, this case is not for you

Then one day the protective plastic that goes over the home button just came out

Also, once you out the cover on, it is almost impossible to type thru the cheap plastic

Plastic at the bittom fell off in the first week

Within less than 9 months the thin flexible plastic over the start/home button ripped for this new 6 plus case and now it is no longer waterproof.

The case was awesome for a little while then soon the plastic covering the home button broke

Brittle plastic around battery door cracked from normal use, and destroyed the waterproofing.

the glue holding plastic over the finger scanner weaken and allowed water to enter and destroyed my phone while i was using in the rain

so I kept it on, and now the rubber around the sides and near the camera is just dissolving and peeling/crumbling off of the hard plastic pieces

Home button is a very thin plastic that wont last more then a few months, if your lucky!

These will scratch the plastic

bought and when i finally checked to make sure its waterproof it was too late to return and the camera clear plastic area leaks.

Product came missing a piece (I wasn't able to toggle the sound on/off) as well as with the seal not connected to the back of the case

I do find that on occasion it doesn't sense my touch as well as if there wasn't this plastic cover over it, but the benefits out weigh that little inconvenience for me.

It protects the phone as she takes it to the pool, watches tv on her phone in the shower and withstands her drops on a regular basis

The speaker doesn't sound as clear as without the case but most people use headphones and bluetooth speakers anyways

though!*The fingerprint sensor/home button cover might look a little worn but never interferes with Touch-ID even after many many months
