And like others have noticed, yes it will get dimmer as the batteries get weaker just like every other light except the expensive tactical lights that just die when the batteries are too low.

Nice lamp with good light output when the batteries are fresh.

That is a hassle but when you get free batteries they typically suck and last about a week.

Works better than the led battery operated ott lamp I was using.

So, you should get decent battery life and good brightness from this light.

Too bad since I liked the design (heavy base, long flexible arm) and the purported function (bright light battery operated)

We changed the batteries and it didn't improve at all.

Brighter and the batteries last longer, plus it comes with its own cord.

However, the light lasts only for a few hours (3-5), even using a top-quality alkaline battery

Lamp works as it should work
