Giving this last cartridge the benefit of a doubt, that it did yield a full 2,600 pages, that would leave the other starter cartridge and previous partial cartridge (before I replaced with the company provided one), that means that I printed a total of 504 pages on the first two cartridges.

This turned out to be an extremely expensive cartridge based on the number of good print pages that we got

Previously, when I loaded a cartridge from another vendor, the instructions mentioned pulling green lever in front to release cartridge from tray; insert cartridge in tray until it "clicked"; then sliding green tab in back of tray to the right and left to clean cartridge head

The most recent printer that we bought, a Brother HL-L2380DW, came with one of those wimpy cartridges that don't last long.

Including the starter cartridge that came with the printer, and the partial cartridge use that I got from the bad cartridge, and the current cartridge that is now showing unresolvable issues to print quality (faded vertical bands on about 60% of the left half of the portrait page), I have 3,096 pages printed on this printer.

This is my first cartridge for this specific Brother printer, and it appears to work just as well as the Linkyo cartridges I have purchased in the past for my other Brother.

All three cartridges had the exact same problem in both printers -- they printed tiny dots everywhere on the page and would occasionally print random vertical lines on the page.
