Over time, the push into the vent design lost its hold on the vents and when I removed the cell phone from the holder the entire magnetic holder contraption would come with it.

I have purchased many of these magnet car accessories and thia is the best design and holds the phone exactly where you want it.

I was really disappointed in this one, the design simply does not work for circular vents, the hook at the end if the holder isn't deep enough to grip one of the pieces of a typical circular vent
