The ONLY con I can find is the length of the wire linking the two speakers, but I don't believe most people would find this as an issue.

Turning up the volume on the tv doesn't clarify the words for me, it just makes louder noise to annoy other people in the house

the sound is good and I can put the volume up high for those videos, where people whisper and you are straining to hear.
