I owned the Harmony Smart Control, too, so I thought it would be helpful to list the key benefits of this remote over the more basic Smart Control for those interested on a consumer's take:1

My Harmony 1100 finally died

I removed one star as the kindle fire remote causes issues each time I start it up - basically the harmony remote can also work as a bluetooth controller for the kindle fire stick however it continually loses connection and I have given up reconnecting it each time meaning that I now have to have two remotes available.

The layout is not as good as the Harmony One, mainly because they moved the fast-forward and rewind buttons to the top which is what I use the most while watching TV
