Logitech Harmony Ultimate All in One Remote with Customizable Touch Screen and Closed Cabinet RF Control - Black

    • Cons: no hard keys for numbers, screen only swipes on main section which can result in accidentally hitting a key
    • For some reason they have a screen lock on by default so that every time you use it you have to swipe the screen first
    • No guessing and no code entry.- Great touch screen - feels and acts just like my iPhone- Just works.
    • that's only there for people in the year 2040 who still have a Samsung flat screen but lost the remote two moving companies ago.
    • I cannot page the smart screens, I cannot exit, nothing works correctly
    • , I don’t love the touch screen
    • The color LED screen is the way to go...
    • I do like the favorites screen though.
    • It swipes the screen to the next screen
    • I can get the TV to turn on only after using the help function on the remote and then the TV picture comes up in the upper corner of the Samsung smart screen.
    • The touch screen itself is OK and I've become a big fan of the 'favorites' screen.
    • - The channel favorites screen makes it easy to get directly to a channel I want to watch without scrolling through the channels or remembering the channel number.
    • It has TV channel listings for the most common providers/regions, and you can select up to 50 favorite channels, which you can then select from a touch screen that displays the station logos and will automatically surf to the channel upon one brush from a very responsive touch screen
    • I love the touch screen and the gesture controls.
    • This means if the remote is on your lap and your pet hops up, you shift and the screen falls on your leg, or you accidentally bump it on the armrest you change the channel, stop your program, or turn to another device
    • Some users complain about the layout of some of the hard buttons on the remote, but I find using the gestures on the touch screen easy to learn and use
    • The screen on the remote is responsive and works like that of an iPhone with fingertip control
    • I love the favorite channels screen, the DVR controls at the top are not a big deal for
    • This is an unfortunate oversight/example of exceptionally poor design choices, everything works as intended, and if the controller is sitting beside you it’s easy enough to depress still (just annoying). The screen is nice, but not great - it definitely could have been made to be a BIT higher resolution for a device thats regular price is kinda pricey $$
    • I love the styling and the touch screen
    • the screen, while not cell-phone level is decent enough
    • I would like a way to hide the favorites screen as I don't have cable.
    • I love the color touch screen and look and feel of the unit.
    • You may like the favorites screen more, and if that's the case, use that as your default.-Turn off auto-off features on TVs, receivers, and set-top boxes
    • It truly is in-between for the base smart series (no screen) and the ultimate.
    • I stepped on my beloved One a couple of weeks ago, breaking the touch screen and immediately began looking for a replacement.
    • HOWEVER, the new app, MyHarmony crashed twice, I got a white screen and it just froze
    • One fatal flaw: the screen is in the wrong place
    • This is an unfortunate oversight/example of exceptionally poor design choices, everything works as intended, and if the controller is sitting beside you it’s easy enough to depress still (just annoying). The screen is nice, but not great - it definitely could have been made to be a BIT higher resolution for a device thats regular price is kinda pricey $$
    • The Harmony Ultimate improved on the old remotes in almost every way and has advanced to the point where I can't imagine how it could get much better: the touch screen is beautiful and supports swipes like a smart phone screen, the RF reliability is extremely solid and the setup software feels modern and as easy-to-use as possible (aside from an annoyance I list later).Logitech paid great attention to detail with everything from the comfortable feel of the remote, to the haptic vibration that occurs when you tap a button on the touch screen
    • It worked for an hour maybe two after which it the screen stopped working and only showed white
    • I also found a page up/down screen on the touchscreen, which would have solved my earlier frustration with the up/down button controlling both channel changing (short press) and page changing (long press), but I actually prefer my button solution to relying on the touch screen
    • It scrolls across several pages: Home screen allows you to choose between actions such as watch tv or dvd, channel favorites (which you program), current action screen that controls actions related to what you are doing, and finally the number screen, here is where you can enter numbers to change channels
    • Biggest complaint is I do not like the touch screen for the Fire TV functions
    • I do like the favorites screen, unlike some others here, I use that a lot.
    • The screen is gorgeous and I like the lighter feel of the remote
    • With the 1100 I spent quite a bit of time looking down at the remote for the correct screen with the option I needed and often just gave up and grabbed the original remote, with the ultimate I occasionally spend a few moments looking for an option but its very rare as the most commonly needed icons are organized together and are presented first when manually choosing a device
    • screen is bright (adjustable) and has great resolution
    • Battery life is improved, the screen is brighter and clearer - definitely easier to read
    • Putting the touch-sensitive screen between the play-stop-forward-reverse buttons and the up-down-left-right buttons is a terrible design
    • My wife loves the 'favorites' screen and the fact that it 'swipes' like her iPhone
    • I also love the "favorites" screen which has the logos of our favorite broadcast networks; tap one and everything shifts into place so we can watch
    • If I'm listening to the radio or an internet stream, I have favorites, but the "favorites" screen I get is the one for watching TV
    • - They added a SLEEP TIMER function to the remote which I have tested and it works perfectly and also the ability to temporarily lock screen so you can clean it/wipe off
    • I had the choice of getting the Elite (too expensive for my bank account and hard to justify for my needs) or the Companion (great price point, no screen, more icons = more translation for less experienced users, no home control)
    • The awkward touch screen and the somewhat confusing menu made it hard for me to recommend it
    • The screen is too sensitive and the slightest brush of your hand will activate something you didn't intend
    • The screen that allows you to do that is too sensitive
    • But if you prefer touch screens and don't mind two-handing it to play/pause/forward/back, I'd say 5-star.
    • Unfortunately, the screen on the old one died.
    • Screen is nice and the overall feel is of a quality product- Charging base is far better than the 890 I had and actually
    • I really like the favorites screen
    • The plus side is that the screen gives it tremendous flexibility to mimic a smart phone app.
    • It totally messed up the remote: it stopped changing between the TV and my Fire TV, then the remote screen froze up.
    • Took three months, 15 hours ten close and reboots, and finally an IT to solve (but of course on east coast time.... so we often had to wait until the next day to find out what happened to the very often frozen screen
    • I did find out that fast forwarding and skipping can be done on the touch screen, so that has eased some of the frustration of accidental screen touches when trying to hit the buttons.
    • The colorful screen is great and during the setup you can add your favorite channels which the remote already has icons for
    • does not feel good either, is slow and does not respond the way you are used to touch screens responding like any of your iOS/Android devices
    • The screen is easy to navigate
    • your finger must traverse the sensitive touch screen
    • Then the screen itself allows you to drag your fingers left and right to fast rewind/forward or skip rewind/forward (if you don't pick up your finger right away)
    • The screen is too sensitive so you can not hold or operate it with one hand
    • Now the remote control doesn't work at all, just a screen with the model number on it and all the buttons are dead
    • The screen is easy to read and use
    • I cannot page the smart screens, I cannot exit, nothing works correctly
    • There's no physical keypad, but you can swipe the screen to bring that up
    • I set up a DHCP server for S&Gs and the hub worked for a few days at a time.
