Logitech Harmony Ultimate All in One Remote with Customizable Touch Screen and Closed Cabinet RF Control - Black

    • We have 3 rooms in the house, 2 with 5.1 systems and 1 with 7.1 , all running PS3 Sony TV and Denon AV receivers and Apple TV.I don't believe you will ever regret getting a harmony remote, however this is a personal choice and somebody will ALWAYS dislike it no matter how good things are
    • It does the job we need it to do - the only real downside is that using the original remotes can mess things up, but at the same time, it is sometimes necessary to use the real remotes to do fine tuning operations
    • Last but not least: I hate shiny black things that can get fingerprints on them, and the Harmony Ultimate falls into this category.
    • and it is absolutely the best thing that ever happen to my entertainment room!Simply, quick and easy setup
    • But even with all my Harmony experience and my generally positive impressions of the remote, this thing has really impressed me as a gamer
    • It takes good technology to make complex things appear simple.
    • We like the things it has to offer, now we need to take advantage of them.
    • The nice thing about the Hub is that it is nice and sleek and blends easily into any high-end cabinet
    • and I have little reserve in saying this thing is prettier, works as good/better, and has more features (iphone/adroid app).Great remote.
    • this thing is expensive but it was worth it to me
    • The nice thing here is you no longer have to point the remote at your equipment.
    • For the love of all things good, do this in the next iteration
    • The one thing I do like is the remote is small in size and almost fits in your hand and any changes you make to the actual remote update on your software via WiFi
    • It's a good thing they have a smartphone app, because the remote's battery is always run down when you go to use it
    • I love the thing
    • We have gone trough three of these stupid things and they have been nothing but trouble
    • * Tedious, but these things are worth it later on
    • Best thing since sliced bread.
    • I love this thing.
    • No more scenarios where the receiver turns on and the TV turns off because you didn't have the stupid thing pointed exactly in the correct line of sight
    • The issue that I’ve found with daily use of the Ultimate model is that with the DVR function buttons being located ABOVE the touch screen causes to slightly annoying things
    • This thing has so many issues I returned the 2nd one I bought without even opening the box
    • The good thing is they don't seem to do the updates that often
    • The BEST THING EVER about this remove is the free app to also work the remote from your smartphone.
    • I'm sure some things will be maddening
    • I really want to love this thing.
    • this is really a great thing that for me actually made the score go up one star at least7
    • Playstation 3:One of the very nice new things about the Harmony Ultimate is that the RF base station now also includes WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity
    • Bottom line, so much trouble with this silly thing, who needs it
    • I must admit that I was skeptical at first whether or not this thing was a true home theater master remote but after having it for two weeks and programming it to my specific needs, I am super impressed
    • The nice thing about that is that we don't have to go hunting for the
    • ********* One thing to note is that you need to assign things like a wall mounted TV to be controlled by the remote and not the hub
    • And one nice thing about upgrading from the 900 to the Ultimate is I could simply switch the IR cable from the 900 hub to the Ultimate hub and it all worked.
    • Lot of good things are there about this remote
    • For me, these things are outrageously expensive....but they do exactly what they are supposed to do
    • The setup is super easy, one of my favorite things about this remote is how easy it is to setup and to add to...the most painful thing is to get the model numbers of your equipment
    • This thing is fantastic and worth the price just to eliminate clutter
    • Most ridiculous thing ever.
    • love this thing. works great.
    • Here are some good things and bad things:Good things:1
    • Ever since I made this review, the remote does not work first thing in the morning after gaining a full charge.
    • At this point, I think the best thing we can do with the device is contribute it to our local land fill.
    • I really, really want to be able to give this remote five starts, because it does some things really well, but a few critical, frankly glaring, gaps in it's capabilities prevent me from doing so.
    • (1) You can use the touch screen to swipe around and do things like swipe up to increase the volume or swipe left to change the channel.
    • I love this thing.
    • Ever since I made this review, the remote does not work first thing in the morning after gaining a full charge.
    • The only cool thing is that you can download an app to your phone or tablet to control the system if you forget to charge the rmote.
    • Here are some good things and bad things:Good things:1
    • Gone are the days where ANY updates to the remote programming required you to plug the freaking thing into a
    • The setup is super easy, one of my favorite things about this remote is how easy it is to setup and to add to...the most painful thing is to get the model numbers of your equipment
    • The touchscreen display is attractive and works pretty fast, and the whole things feels much more modern than my old Harmony 880.
    • My thumb continuously selects either the favorites, home, and the things on the top half of the touch screen when trying to push the Stop button
    • Another thing I wanted to give you a heads up on , if you use custom channel logos it may look like it did not work on the remote (you might just see numbers at first
    • They had a good thing going for a while but have dropped the ball with these newer versions of remotes
    • First and one of the more annoying things is that much too often, sometimes a couple times a month, you will reach for the remote and find it unresponsive
    • Another nice thing is that once you initially set it up on your computer using the supplied USB cord, all updates are synced wirelessly after that
    • that could be remotes for this awesome hub!I can not say enough good things about this remote though
    • I already LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing! The setup of hardware and software can be done by the average non-tech type
    • A week alter and another few hours of updating the remote, testing, updating the remote, testing, things seemed to be working much better.
    • The nice thing was that I didn't have to do anything, just sat there and watched
    • Not yet giving up, I reinstalled the whole thing and it again worked
    • It took about an hour to set up in total, but I like setting things up, so I don't see that as a downside.
    • Scrolling through the TV guide is always a nightmare, as pushing the actual channel buttons is too much work for the stupid thing
    • Weird thing is, the hub led is green, saying everything is good
    • Now waiting for ANOTHER 7-10 days for a 3rd remote! At this price, I would expect these things to be defect free and bullet proof
    • I really, really want to be able to give this remote five starts, because it does some things really well, but a few critical, frankly glaring, gaps in it's capabilities prevent me from doing so.
    • Last but not least: I hate shiny black things that can get fingerprints on them, and the Harmony Ultimate falls into this category.
    • all past remote control issues have been resolved, and my guests can operate things without creating headaches! The only thing I don't like, and I REALLY don't like it, is the method of programming and organizing your channels.
    • One thing I really like is that I do not have to point the remote at any equipment, or even be in the same room
    • Aside from that this thing is cool, push one button and everything turns on that needs to and everything that doesn't need to be on turns off.
    • Why does HELP fix it everytime but the remote doesn't just do the right thing to begin with
    • The Harmony web page to program the device offers suggestions but you must make the correct choices or things won't work
    • Here's the thing: setting up this remote is easy IF you're already a little bit technically savvy
    • Once the skills were enabled Alexa and Harmony worked perfectly together!Certain things require certain phrasing in order for Alexa to work properly
    • They made me do the same stupid things over and over again, they were just guessing, they had no real technical expertise
    • They aren't the ugliest things in the world, but for anyone spending $300 on a universal remote system I imagine a bunch of unseemly wires and bug shaped nodes laying around aren't your idea of a high tech solution
    • The videophiles probably already went to town on reviewing the tech specs of this remote, so I'll get to the nitty-gritty right away: This thing is AWESOME
    • Great thing is when you make any changes, you can either sync it from the remote, your phone or online
    • I glued a plastic ring underneath it about half-way along the length for my finger to rest in so that I don't have to use two hands to get my thumb over the correct part of the screen without accidently hitting the wrong thing
    • You can't use any pre-created groupings or scenes for Hue; you basically have to set up each bulb manually for every "activity."This thing has a lot of potential if they'd just improve the software on it
    • I wanted to love this thing.
    • It's important, but also the most clunky thing to do
    • I know it's a weird thing to ask for, but when we're visiting family, it would be nice to turn on Animal Planet for the dog to keep her from barking all the time, or set a schedule that turns the TV on like an alarm clock, but only on weekdays or such
    • I love this thing.
    • It's important, but also the most clunky thing to do
    • A few things like a remote to hub signal strength meter would be real helpful.
    • However, and there is always a however in life, this thing just seems too buggy.
    • I've dedicated most of this review to a feature that isn't even officially supported, but it's easily the most powerful thing this remote does for me
    • The good thing about this is thus far we've not had any IR blaster response issues (HUGE issue w/ the model 650 & 700 if the remote wasn’t perfectly
    • An accidental press often involves projectors turning on and off – not a good thing
    • Even things like the DVR and channel listing worked flawlessly.
    • Another, time consuming, annoying thing to deal with if you flip channels as I do at times
    • Then weird things started to happen.
    • The steps for your favorite channels and other things were easy as pie also
    • And this thing is absolutely terrible if you use it with an XBOX One because you cannot keep it from controlling the power on/off cycles.
    • Although it`s not the easiest thing to set up, there was a considerable effort made on Logitech software that guides through the set-up process
    • The Logitech just would not work things in the order of sequence they needed to operate.
    • But this thing is useless
