Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System with Subwoofer

    • I admit, the subwoofer puts out good bass, but the main speakers just don't have enough loudness.
    • The bass sounds good during music and tv, but is way too loud for windows computer sounds and I can't find a compromise between the two.
    • these speakers are perfect for small rooms, the bass is surprisingly powerful if you find a sweet spot in the room.at low volume the quality becomes spotty and hollow sounding- sort of twangy, but at mid range to 3/4ths volume they peak in quality.the sound matrix button does not do very much for sound
    • dont get me wrong, original speakers are good but it lacked good bass
    • The bass is awesome
    • The matrix mode, which automatically creates 5.1 surround sound, sounds fantastic and I only have to turn the bass up half way for a good solid bass tone
    • This bass is powerful and can vibrate the whole floor if turned up all the way
    • This speakers offer nice bass and good sound quality
    • i got these speakers hook up ez and plug and play has good bass and clean highs
    • The bass is simply incredible for speakers this price
    • Maybe the bass is not that good but in general they are very good.
    • Bass really rumbles highs are clear and crisp
    • I'm an audio nut and love this system...good bass response.
    • The bass is excellent and the satellite speakers are superb sounding
    • these speakers have friggin awesome sound quality and bass, but the wires are way too short to have them mounted behind you
    • Great bass sound and good surround.
    • so if you need super deep bass maybe look else
    • it has been through 2 moves and been dropped several times, i don't hear any static sounds and bass is terrific on it... definitely would suggest this for a casual gamer for a game room!
    • Additional, the bass is a bit overpowering, but it's adjustable
    • The sound is crisp, the bass is awesome, and everything about it is awesome
    • The bass is nice, I use it in my living room with the speakers spread out and the sound is just fine once all the adjustments in the equalizers are done in my source (currently a gaming laptop)Only thing i'd have liked was some control over the speaker balance - eg
    • They are still holding up well save for the volume knob needing to be turned past half to notice an increase in volume but the bass is still excellent
    • The bass is woof woof, but nothing window shaking.
    • Also, the easy bass adjustment is very convenient
    • Nice bass effects
    • These speakers are versatile, and the bass is great.
    • The Subwoofer is small and it turns out decent bass
    • these speakers have friggin awesome sound quality and bass, but the wires are way too short to have them mounted behind you
    • The sounds were crisp, the bass was great, gunfire and explosions sounded realistic, and there was nothing I could compain about
    • and they had excellent sound and capable of excellent bass also
    • These are perfect for all the college students out there looking for some crazy bass without an insane price tag
    • The Bass is not muddy and for such a small Sub box, it really kicks out.
    • I have had these speakers for over a month attached to a HP dv5t laptop, the sound is absolutely ridiculous compared to some old Boston Acoustics 2.1 speakers i had, the bass is incredible, crisp and booming
    • The sound is stellar, there's a better sense of spatial effects, the bass is very clear, overall excellent for the price
    • Would like a bit more bass, but am happy with what it does for the money.
    • I noticed the bass was missing.
    • They have a good sound and a good solid bass.
    • Deep powerful bass and wide-range frequency response in the sats.
    • Bass is great
    • easy to set up, full bass sound, great for music tv
    • Crisp sound and booming theater style bass... a good
    • I love these speakers, the only thing you have to have is the right adio slots for them, if you do then get them, I am going to buy more for friends, easy install, and sound so good, really deep bass
    • The good: Reasonably loud volume, sounds pretty good, separate Bass level that also sounds good, control is easy to use (if wired), & matrix button for 2.x->surround sound conversion
    • They sound very clear and bass is better than I thought
    • So in conclusion, GREAT SYSTEM- seriously, I can't stress that enough- sounds beautiful, has some real kick (bass is impressive despite the small sub) and is easy enough to configure and use that anyone that can operate a light switch should have no trouble, but if for whatever reason you can't live without an optical input, or lack the coordination necessary to avoid tripping over the single inconveniently placed remote cable on the floor, then these might be real issues
    • As other reviews have noted, the bass is also good.
    • i would definitely recommend this product for bass freaks quite like myself
    • This bass is powerful and can vibrate the whole floor if turned up all the way
    • And bass is good; very good for a bedroom type environment
    • dont get me wrong, original speakers are good but it lacked good bass
    • all and all... it is a great system and perfect for the average user, but if your a bass addict like me, either buy the equip to protect it, or get a separate woofer, because if your maxing it out all the time, it isnt going to last
    • I admit that I am not an audiophile, so my standards probably aren't that high - but I am pleased and even impressed (especially for the price) at the sound this set puts out, as well as the bass.
    • At half turn is when the bass kicks in louder than youd prefer
    • The sound is amazing, bass is loud and pretty much makes the whole wing of my dorm fill with sound, and this is just with the volume knob turned halfway up
    • Oh and the bass is not overpowering at all
    • Most computer speakers don't produce adequate bass and treble to make the sound balanced but these definitely do
    • So yes I highly recommend this if your a xbox gamer and want lots of good sounding bass for your
    • The only downside is that I had to put some rubber vibration isolators under my computer case's feet because the bass at high volumes was strong enough to make the hard disk skip and cause a blue screen.
    • The speakers sound great and the bass has enough punch to fill my room.
    • The Bass is amazing, the matrix works perfectly
    • Bass is wonderful, my favourite feature since I have mostly bass-heavy songs and never got to enjoy them in this quality before
    • It appears to be tuned to around 60-70 hz, which is a good usable frequency area and the bass is impressive for the small size of the enclosure and woofer and the 25 watts RMS or so that it uses.
    • I replaced a 2.1 system from Yamaha for this set because I was tired of hearing muddy bass all the time
    • I love that I can dial the bass and love the speaker mounted on top my monitor
    • Terrific bass, great sound
    • The bass isn't too clear and the rear speaker cables are a bit short
    • I love the bass it gives and surround sound for movies
    • The 5 surround speakers produce nice clean mids and highs, and the ported woofer produces strong powerful bass
    • my logitech systems came with a missing bass nobi popped open the box anxiously waiting to set it upand i noticed the controller didn't look
    • In spite of the sub-woofer and graphic equalizer enhancement controls, you will not be able achieve sharp booming bass from this system.
    • The sounds is great, nice bass, good highs and adequate midrange
    • Full range of sound with excellent bass quality.
    • They are still working as they should, Good speakers, good product from Logitech.
    • The volume limit won't get so loud as to kill your eardrums, as with higher quality (and more expensive) speaker sets, but who wants that anyway
    • I bought this speaker set to replace an old one that was dying, as well as to upgrade to surround sound
