EXCELLENT speaker system for the price

I bought this system at Walmart and it worked reasonably well, for a while

Louder than expected for a cheap speaker system

Personally, for music I use Media Monkey and it has a built in equalizer that makes this system sound like anything but a $25 speaker set

I was looking for a cheap sound system to replace my old 10 year old speakers, for the amount i paid so far i love these speakers, clear sound and the little remote is super helpful, i placed mine under the desk where i can access it quickly and easily but out of sight

The sound quality is awesome - like a high quality, expensive speaker system - but didn't have to spend a lot to get them

A well rounded speaker system, I recently built my wife a new computer on a budget and I've trusted Logitech for years as a reliable and affordable set of speakers

One of my wife's (10+ year old) speakers went out when we moved, bought these as a replacement, this system is much nicer than the old one

so I can buy a good speaker system with a convenient volume control.

All in all, if you're looking for a solid computer speaker system and you can find this model for under $30, I would recommend buying it.

The little main unit to control the sound/ where you plug headphones in is damaged and that kills the whole system

This system is weak on the mids, from Elton John's voice sounding sort of muffled on Tiny Dancer to the orchestra being barely audible on Disturbed's cover of Sound of Silence

The little caps (nipples) inside the speaker cones, are called phase plugs, which are generally only used on very fancy audiophile speaker systems, and they actually enhance the frequency spectrum to make the speaker more accurate, with less distortion
