I looked at the design and just noticed that the bezel is not raised enough and there is no lip at the top and bottom to protect the phone.

Although it probably isn't as sturdy as a big bulky hard plastic case, it certainly protects the phone and gives you added convenience of having pockets for a few credit cards or IDs.
