Subsequent installation of the updates has cured this problem so I would start by saying that you MUST update after you install... failure to do so is a system crash waiting to happen

Easy installation and upgrade to my 2006 MacBook which was using tiger.

Installation was seamless and Snow Leopard kicked in immediately.

I had my macbook with leopard and upgraded to snow leopard, my recommendation is to back up first and erase the hard drive to have a clean installation, of course later you will have to install all yours applications but it worth all the trouble
