Mac OS X version 10.6.3 Snow Leopard (Mac computer with an Intel processor required)

    • A lot of older printers are not supported by their manufacturers under Snow Leopard, but this is less of a problem than you'd expect -- Apple added the Gutenprint driver package to support a tremendous quantity of printers that have been essentially abandoned by their manufacturers, and I find it to be vastly more stable and effective than the older drivers
    • But, I do a lot of gaming on my Macboook Pro, and it crashes my favorite game of the moment all the time
    • A lot of the improvements in Snow Leopard (the new developer APIs) won't provide much benefit now, but it'll really pay off in a few years with many-core hardware and rewritten software to take advantage of the APIs
    • That did suck, I have a lot of customers
    • There are also a lot of 'under the hood' improvements that take full advantage of 64 bit processing and others that make life easier for software developers.
    • This takes up lots of space in your dock and can make it smaller, a big problem if you have a small laptop monitor
    • With that being said I expect that a lot of people will ultimately be disappointed with Snow Leopard simply because this is really not like any of the previous OSX upgrades
    • A google search shows that lots of other people are having this problem.
    • So given my history, I should know something of what I am talking about, and I can guarantee that Snow Leopard is the BEST.I really liked Tiger a lot, but it doesn't run on Intels.
    • Checking online for a fix to the problem showed me that a lot of people were having the same problems with graphics issues; some a lot worse than mine.
    • It does definitely refine a lot of what came before, which is what Apple was working toward
