Maybe someday those folks will own a Mac and wonder why they wasted so much time with a PC.

When I purchased Snow Leopard, I was led by service people at my local Apple store and by reviewers , such as David Pogue, to expect not to many bells and whistles, but a huge reduction in hard drive space to do the same good job that Mac OS has always done.

That no new or great major OS updates are already forthcoming may be a good sign, though, that your present Mac will be supported and functioning well into the years to come.

I also use Windows PC as well, but prefer the MAC.

I can not wait for the day when Mac OS becomes available on Windows PC's.

What ultimately makes Windows such a problem for us enlightened Mac owners is that Windows still needs to run code written 20-30 years ago!

From the initial installation, you will notice that your Mac is snappier - and if you look at the space on your hard drive, you'll see that installing Snow Leopard has freed up more than a few gigabytes of space.

While I was initially pleased with Snow Leopard because my Mac is more responsive and speedier, I have since found that I have hardware issues with my Epson printer/scanner and with my Canon camera's software.

An earlier version of this webpage had stated the PowerPC would work as well as the Intel-based Mac.

Thank god Mac OS's are cheap and easy to use.

Compared to $9.99 Apple charges for upgrading the iPhone OS on the iPod Touch, this Mac OS X upgrade has much fewer visual cues that it's been upgraded, but given the overall snappiness of my Mac and the ease of the upgrade, I would recommend it to anyone already using Leopard.

I can't comment on any new features, but it works as it's supposed to.

10.5.8 was still there and everything worked as if nothing had ever happened
