I've been using them for media production for 8 months and they have powerful bass, great sound clarity and volume.

In terms of the frequency response, I don't claim to know anything about sound even though I play, record, mix, and master music and have a degree in Audio Technology, but from what I've read the response is fairly flat and there seems to be an overwhelming amount of people saying that there's poor bass response.
