As the proud owner of a pair of Mackie HR824 studio monitors which have been trouble-free for over 13 years, I decided to get Mackie's smallest and most affordable "monitors" for background music at work

I received my Creative Monitor Speakers, quickly unboxed them, and added these speakers to my home studio setup

But these would work as budget reference monitors and are quite good as personal monitors for tracking/playback in a small home studio

4 inch Subwoofer - 66w RMSLast of all, these monitors also came with foam to put up underneath to minimize vibration, but i wouldn't bother with it because they aren't as dense as other isolation pads, but its better to use them rather than none at all

If you are balls deep into audio, these may not be the answer for you but they are great starter monitors for at home production or just casual listening

But for rock, r&b, country these monitors are worth there weight in gold!

The internal amp is definitely blown again, I leave the monitors on 24/7 which the manual doesn't say it's outside of the normal use

backward M-Audio.(3) The most important of all the sound is amazingly CLEAR and faithfully FLAT

I replaced some old M-Audio speakers that just died on me.

These units replaced a pair of 4" M-Audio speakers, which my 4 year old broke by experimenting with connections.

Solidly built, excellent sound, all the I/O options you need, they come complete with cables, sound insulating pads, and have a nice option to "flip" the powered side to left or right

This is annoying, especially if your best headphones are open-back- Half the time I use the speakers, theydo not work due to a really cheap L/R selector switch.
