Good starter unit

This unit works great.

Granted, many audio interfaces these days are prone to driver issues, this unit has an exceptionally bad reputation, you can see this in multiple threads at the Mackie forums[

This is a decent unit with simple design and features

This is such as solid unit, the pre's sound pretty dang good for the money, and the knobs are all silky smooth

My unit works flawlessly on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit HP PC running Adobe Audition.

Other than the complete lack of features this unit suffers from a low fidelity in the front end

In summary, this particular unit did not work in my Windows 7 workstation

This unit is exactly what I needed and with the new drivers it works well with almost no noise, plus it's made in the U.S

The Onyx is a great unit for that mic

Its a shame because physically this unit is perfect for what I needed

For the price u probably won't fine nothing better.
