Projected time on the ceiling is nice except for when you can't sleep it is to obvious with what time it is.

It's also easy to avoid seeing if you are trying NOT to see what time it is (insomnia suffers will understand)

It has a battery so it's supposed to keep time if you lose power or unplug the clock, but it doesn't appear to work.

This is an affordable clock with the features I look for such as crescendo alarm, daylight saving time automatic correct.

But the unit has a battery back-up, so if you lose power the correct time and date will be restored when the power returns

This is mentioned in earlier reviews, and though I'll wait until I give it a reasonable time to get used to it, I may return the unit because of this.
