In my case however, I learned the hard way, that if the vent fins are set back behind others, this set will fail miserably

It scratch my vent fins.

The tongs have a rubber coating so they dont simply fall off but yet dont damage your vent fin.

The fins grab onto the vents tightly as well.

I fitted it over the vent fin using the tight setting.

This product does not stay in the vent fins very well

They also have two slit sizes for different vent fin

Before you attach to the vent, rotate the magnetic disk so the rubber teeth can be attached to a thin or thick vent fin, vertically or horizontally, and if you want the logo right side up.

I can see where that could be a problem, but if you turn the item 90 degrees there is a smaller slit there that will grab the smallest vent fin.

I was however unable to get this holder to stay attached to my AC vent fins without my phone attached to it let alone with it attached.

Plugs right into the vent fins, is sturdy and holds the phone tightly.

In other words, if the vent fins won't reach completely into this magnet's cutouts, keep shopping!I ended up needing to order a different vent clip, one that reaches further into the vent, and screws down tightly

One way is tighter and the other is for a thicker vent fin.

Sturdy I have a credit card phone case and it doesn't drop my heavy phone like other cases.
