good balanced natural sounding - I won't claim to call it audiophile quality (thankfully, "ethereal" won't ever be used to describe its sound... its a subwoofer for pity's sake), but MartinLogan didn't besmirch their reputation with this sub.

Usually a subwoofer will pair with your system after a good calibration, but I find myself tweeking this thing often to get the sound right

I watched a couple of movies with good sound-tracks "The Dark Knight", "300", and "Braveheart" to see how it would integrate with my system.

the sound out-of-the-box was really impressive for the money

but for the small/average size listening area, this sub is a much more high-end and clean sound

The sound is crisp, clean & no distortion.
