I have tried many brands of rewritable DVD's; Maxell, in my opinion, out-performs them all and in most cases is the best value.

nice value for the money and easy to use with the Toshiba DVD recordder... glad it was available when I bought the recorder.

They're doing what they're supposed to do for me, but I now realize that DVDs unlike CDs are more apt to be manufactured and burned for consume use with lots of errors, ie defects so that when we get them they don't work as they should
