They are soft enough to sleep with, I use them every night to listen to ambient noise.

For someone who can have noisy roommates at night when I'm just trying to sleep, playing some soft ambient noise with these headphones is enough to totally block out the sound

Barely feel them in my ears an they block out a lot of ambient noise.

The rubber surround is too small for my ear, so getting these to stay in and block out ambient noise is difficult.

Once in place, they do not block ambient noise (I can still hear the room fan, dog moving about, etc.).

Honestly when I saw these had hard cores wasn't sure how well they work as I'm a side sleeper.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they aren't as high quality as I would like.
