but no matter how I configure the controllers in dolphin port number 4 controls player
-
Solid buy, though- if you're interested in either a more accurate experience when emulating a game or potentially playing some non-GameCube games with one of the best controllers ever made, it's worth a shot.
-
Works great with Wii U. Do not buy if you want it for the PC as it will only make you want to smash every Gamecube controller you own.
-
I would recommend to any and all who want a reliable, cheap controller adapter.

Playing Wii U smash with the classic Gamecube controllers is awesome

This controller adapter does not have that issue, or any other issue, and it works as intended and expected

All four ports work as separate controllers.
-
GC controllers mostly only work for for classic games 2005 and older though
-
I'm not a Melee purist by any means either; I just strongly prefer the GC controller to all of the other options and this adapter does not disappoint
-
This controller adapter works flawlessly when used with Super Smash Bros Wii
-
Dolphin Emulation isn't so great for me (not sure if fault is on my side or actual controller/adapter
-
Aside from occasional weirdness with the first controller slot, no issues
-
Works Great on PC and Wii U, if only i could fine decent controllers

the GC controller is your favorite controller ever, and you love classic games, then it’s definitely worth it!!!
-
Easy to set up (plugging it in provides Dolphin and other emulators 4 virtual controllers to work with) and no complaints thus far
-
In PC mode, the controller is fully mappable as a normal joystick and supports rumble after quick installation of drivers by Mayflash's website
-
Use it for my "Nintendo Super Smash Bros. White Classic Gamecube Controller" and it works great!
-
Would reccomend to any Vet smash player to use the best released controller with this
-
I also had a knock off gamecube controller, and it ended up working just as fine as the regular Gamecube controller
-
I used to have the old mayflash adapter for PC in 2012 which only supported two controllers and SOME rumble compatibility, and didn't work for Smash
-
The pro controller just doesn't do the trick.
-
It supports the 4 game cube controllers for the
-
Out of the box, it works in PC mode fine as a dinput controller, but with no rumble
-
Doesn't let Gamecube controllers function as a classic controller or pro controller.
-
Works perfectly with my wireless WaveBird controllers from my GameCube system to play Smash on my Wii U!
-
No cons so far it works as advertised, the controllers respond perfectly
-
So far I have used up to four controllers at once, and all worked fine
-
One of the ports was broken when I got it, I can only use 3 controllers now.
-
I used to have the old mayflash adapter for PC in 2012 which only supported two controllers and SOME rumble compatibility, and didn't work for Smash
-
Now friends and I can play Smash with our favorite controllers!

I got this to play Gamecube and Wii games with the Dolphin emulator using an authentic controller, and it works absolutely flawlessly
-
I got this to play Gamecube and Wii games with the Dolphin emulator using an authentic controller, and it works absolutely flawlessly
-
Perfect for wave odd controllers though
-
Returned for official Nintendo one, and controller worked great.
-
To clarify, the device properly treats the GameCube controller as a GameCube controller, which previous may flash adapters which allow a GameCube controller to connect to a wii remote treat it as a classic controller.
-
Some people may remember the old Mayflash Wii U Gamecube adapter, which essentially allows a Gamecube controller to plug into a Wii remote like a classic controller would
-
We restarted the system and started testing how many controllers we could get to work properly with it and came to the conclusion that 2 controllers will work fine, but 3 or more will cause up to 1 second latency which, in a fighting game, is a huge hindrance
-
I initially thought that this makes the wiiU think your GC controller is a classic controller, this is not the case
-
Plug in your good ol' Gamecube controllers and use them on Smash Bros. for Wii U. Works flawlessly
-
I had purchased this to play the Dolphin emulator on my laptop, which responsively it does work very well for; however, the controller doesn't stay in the slots very well and it has to be sitting just perfect for it to actually work
-
Classic Gamecube and Wavebird controllers both seem to work
-
Easily worth your time if you want to play Dolphin with an authentic controller

it's a nice switch from the joycons that the Switch uses to a classic controller.

-
Works perfectly well for the Wii U (Smash) and PC Gaming (Emulators and such).Works with Wavebirds and standard controllers with no input lag, I would reckon to say it's better than Nintendo's (Which had way too little to go around)No more fighting for weird controllers for Smash :)
-
In PC mode, all controllers work as the same input (all control the same player), and the analog sticks are detected as D-Pads.
-
Enjoy your GC controllers!

My controller that has worked flawless since the day I got it when the gamecube came out won't work because of this, my brother's controller works somewhat, and a brand new controller even had problems with this thing
-
They like the ability to use the proprietary controllers with the games.
-
On the upside, it works flawlessly with Smash Bros and GC controllers.
-
Awesome Controller Adapter
-
I checked to see if it was my controller but they still work perfectly well on my

Connect the USB to the console and you've got an additional 4 ports for the best controller Nintendo has ever made
-
Detected in my USB port but the actual ports where the gamecube controller plugs in did not work; I spent 3 hours making sure all of the drivers were installed correctly and reading blogs/watching videos on how to configure a finicky controller and ultimately came to the conclusion that it was the adapter
-
I would plug my controller in and the joystick would not work properly, no matter what controller was plugged in.
-
The GameCube controller is my favorite controller
-
Works great, not only as a WiiU Gamecube controller adapter, but also as a PC Gamecube controller adapter
-
As Gamecube controllers have always been, you will deal with the occasional "unplug the controller an blow to stop the on-screen conniption the individual controller is causing", but this is obviously an issue with the old controllers I'm using and not this adapter
-
and I could never see myself going back to using a Classic Controller
-
I've only been using one controller so far, but it works flawlessly
-
I've tried 4 controllers at the same time and they all work great.
-
Works perfectly for connecting my classic GameCube controllers to my Wii U. Better quality by far than my last adapter.

I wish it worked for more Wii U games as the Gamecube controller is my most favorite controller
-
Worth the price if you're like me and you really just prefer The GameCube Controller

I couldn't get the c-stick to work fluently, so I started messing around with Dolphin Emulator options and figured out the solution on my own
-
Flawless I/O device on the Wii U, and after you get the controller config right, flawless on the PC too, assuming you're not expecting it to do rumble.
-
Wasn’t expecting t to work well with steam, but it works flawlessly with it
