  • that grease used on kitchen appliances is used sparingly, Could have spent more money for a food safe grease but saw no point in it
  • Food safe, consistency of vaseline, large tube and it lubricates.
  • I was comfortable using this item as it is food safe in the event it does come in contact with the product I am slicing.
  • For my Mahlkonig commercial coffee grinder, the manufacturer recommends food-safe grease that retails for four times what Petro-Gel sells for
  • After a call to the maker and dicussion with a technician, he recommended a food safe lubrication.

Reviews around slicer (5.00 of 5)

  • This makes it a bit harder to determine where I need to reapply grease after cleaning the slicer.
  • My slicer is doing great and works as smooth as it did the first time I purchased
  • I use this every time I disassemble my slicer to clean it to keep it lubricated.
  • This is a good foodsafe product that will keep my slicer running smooth hopefully
  • I bought this for my home meat slicer (Chef's Choice 615), but 4 oz for home use is a very large amount, it only requires a few dabs each time you clean the slicer.

Reviews around size (5.00 of 5)

  • The size is pretty good for this machine and should last quite some time as we need to use fairly little of it
  • Works great, no taste, right size as a little goes a long way plus at a very great price compaired to local stores

Reviews around job (5.00 of 5)

  • It has the consistency of Vaseline and goes on the motors and posts easily and does a good job of getting rid of the slight squeak on the motor as the blade spins
  • This is a nice thick clear grease that does a good job of lubricating the gears and moving parts.
  • I am using it on a Chef's Choice food slicer and it seems to be doing a good job
  • Only used it once but it seems to do a good job of lubricating
  • Does a great job of reducing the wear on semi auto espresso machine brew group gasket and making the seating of the portafilter easier by reducing the friction between the portafilter and gasket.

Reviews around ship (5.00 of 5)

  • It is slightly thicker in texture compared to toothpaste and a 4 ounces tube for $5.50 including free prime shipping (as of september 2014) is a good deal considering that you only need a less than hazelnut size per lubrication
  • Fast ship great
  • Just what I was looking for, fast shipping, thanks.
  • as advertised, fast shipping
  • I needed one more item for free shipping and this was it

Reviews around blade (5.00 of 5)

  • That item needs to be lubricated by likes of vaseline frequently for proper blade operation
  • Worked great changed blades, lube went on smooth.
  • Using this on a Chef's Choice slicer really aided in smooth blade rotation.
  • lubes my blades well and not very messy

Reviews around lubricant (4.46 of 5)

  • It was the cheapest lubricant and seems to serve its purpose.
  • It's a quality, food-safe lubricant that can be used on any appropriate kitchen item.
  • I needed a food-safe lubricant for the brew group in my Saeco espresso machine
  • No petro smell, no horrible staining residue, no drawbacks usually attributed to lubricants
  • I need a food-safe lubricant for my meat slicer, Kitchenaid stand mixer, and any other item I can find that comes into contact with food.

Reviews around stuff (4.21 of 5)

  • Based upon the manufacture specs, this stuff seems the safest and most effective for food use.
  • I have no problem dabbing this stuff with my fingers.
  • , hopefully this stuff doesn't go bad over time.
  • Not only keeps my Chefs Choice 615 slicer rolling along, but I tried using this stuff on my job as well

Reviews around grease (3.17 of 5)

  • Alittle thinner grease than I thought it would be, but works fine.
  • This is a nice thick clear grease that does a good job of lubricating the gears and moving parts.
  • I'm a bit hesitant to give this product only 2 stars because it may well be a good product for other uses, but if you are buying this grease as an inexpensive replacement for the very expensive Saeco Silicone Grease, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
  • It works great, there's a lot in the tube, and there's no nasty grease smell
  • Some grease lubricants are listed as food grade yet smell worse than burnt rear-end grease from forestry equipment
