    Mcglaughlin Oil Petrol-Gel Lubricant,White

    • The product description and the tube label both say this is a white food-grade grease suitable for areas of minor food contact
    • I dislike silicone grease as it seems to forever migrate and almost impossible to completely remove.
    • I didn't want to buy a whole can of officially labeled 'KitchenAid' grease to repair my stand mixer (too expensive and more grease than necessary)
    • I'm a bit hesitant to give this product only 2 stars because it may well be a good product for other uses, but if you are buying this grease as an inexpensive replacement for the very expensive Saeco Silicone Grease, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
    • This is a nice thick clear grease that does a good job of lubricating the gears and moving parts.
    • Some grease lubricants are listed as food grade yet smell worse than burnt rear-end grease from forestry equipment
    • I wanted a good heavy viscosity grease that worked well and wouldn't taint if it leaked past the seals and out of the mix head
    • Like that the grease is clear, applies easily, would even be easier to apply if a narrow screw on tip was provided
    • For my Mahlkonig commercial coffee grinder, the manufacturer recommends food-safe grease that retails for four times what Petro-Gel sells for
    • It's clear food safe grease
    • It works great, there's a lot in the tube, and there's no nasty grease smell
    • Alittle thinner grease than I thought it would be, but works fine.
    • that grease used on kitchen appliances is used sparingly, Could have spent more money for a food safe grease but saw no point in it
    • My only complaint is that the grease is clear in color (like petroleum jelly) not white as indicated.
