Yes, I removed the protective paper on the sticky pad where the sim goes--still to thick

My only complaint is that there is a little sticky pad on each adapter

Remember to take the paper off of the sticky pad so the sim card doesn't slip out

Personally, I feel that the adhesive pad is annoying and unnecessary because the fit is so precise, but I won't take points off for it

The sticky pad included on the adapters really helps secure the simcard in place

they use a sticky tape pad

The nano SIM slot on the micro adapter isn't sized exactly correctly, and the adhesive pad isn't very effective.
