Perfect shakers

My band mates liked it very much and I really liked the versatility of the Artist Series Luis Conte Medium Shaker for different sound effects.

Great shakers comes in four different sound levels

I bought the grey loud shaker thinking I could use it live while playing kit, and it would still cut through loud enough for the audience to hear it without needing a mic

The Medium (Black) shaker was loud enough and sounded great

I put tape over the holes for now, but it would be great if Meinl came out with a more durable shaker-perhaps with rubber guard rings that prevent hitting it on drums (or reduce impact of stick?

Meinl makes an excellent egg shaker with nice rounded edges as opposed to LP
