It turn out that the DVD fail to burn from the start stated "fail to burn"

I was only able to burn 10 fully functioning DVD's the

I think Memorex makes a good product and the DVD backups I burned over 3 years ago are still working just fine

Every single DVD that I have ever burnt @ 2.4x has worked perfectly and is still working 100%

Memorex is supposed to be a good product but these DVD's were a waste of time and money.

precious memorex dvd dl products have been very spotty, but the current product in this packaging has been quite good

and I lose a DVD every 15-20 DVDs

and I only have had a problem with them once (3 dvd's had errors on the area where they are burned

Your guaranteed to fry a few and you'll probably have compatibility issues if you try to use the DVD in a portable DVD player

I've burnt 5 Memorex so far, which have produced 2 that did not verify correctly and the other 3 are problematic when playing on an inexpensive DVD player connected to a TV (the other higher quality DVD player I have succeeds in playing these 3 discs though).

Recordable DVD's are a bit expensive but in the long run are a great value when recording stuff for myself, but not when you throw 9 out of 10 out, and they stop recording after an hour or so and you have to start recording all over again

Nero identified the manufacturer of these DVDs as Ritek Ridata Media, so Memorex is selling them under their name and marking them up because you can get Ritek Ridata Media for about $0.26 per DVD/DL.My advice go and purchase Verbatim as I have had 100% success burning DVD/DL so far.

The Worst DVD's Ever Made!

I had a few fails on one of the packs but it was on an older slower computer and dvd burner

So I tried to burn a DVD with an extra DVD I had from a past purchase, and it burned perfectly fine

On the same computer, I have burnt 3 DVD+R DL Verbatum brand discs, which all verified correctly and would play without problem on my cheap DVD player...

Every second DVD in this package is defective

Especially secure distros that I want to run off a LiveCD because I don't trust the lock button on a USB drive as much as I trust a DVD when it comes to its inability to be written to on the fly while running an OS at least

My original DVD's were just the 4.7 GB kind and that either meant burning around 3-4 episodes in great quality per disc, or using my program that could fit a large amount of episodes in crappy quality

The burned discs played with a standard DVD player by Toshiba which I bought in 2001, a portable DVD player by Sony which I bought early 2008, and all kinds of Mac or Windows computers around me.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong when I burn the DVD, but everytime I try to burn old home movies to these DVDs, the movie will only play half way through.

Yes, I've had some "coasters" but it usually turns out to be due to 1) a bad original DVD or 2) trying to do other tasks on my computer when I'm burning a DVD or 3) using too high a write speed (I don't recommend using higher than 2.4x)

Incidentally, if you have a phillips dvd installed on your computer, like Dell, be aware that only very good DVD DL discs, like the aforementioned, will work.
