If you have a child that just started band and you don't want to buy an expensive instrument before you are sure your kid is committed, this is the instrument for you

So far so good my daughter who is in the band for the first time (6 grade middle school) says she is enjoying her instrument!

It's not reasonable to expect anyone to replace or repair such an inexpensive instrument

Great starter instrument for a beginner

This is an Amazing instrument for beginners, I came from playing brass to learn flute, this one is just so easy to play and get around it, it even sounds better than my friend’s flute which is about 7-8 times this price.

This instrument is hard to hold because of the smooth finish.

I would not get her a very expensive instrument, because I don't know how long she will want to practice

Just rent a real instrument and support your local economy in the process.

Or I guess, if you want the case, stand, cloth, and other add-ons that come with it then buy it, but just don't expect a real working useful instrument.

This might work out as a spare or emergency back up instrument for some.
