Good price and good quality for a Clarinet that is not made of wood but hard plastic

Your child will struggle and it will cause difficulty and frustration because of the very poor quality in these models.

The reeds work well; pretty standard quality

Unfortunately this was a bad choice because the quality was very poor and it don't work my son was very unhappy and now I am stuck with this product and don't know what to do with it

so, if you want really good quality stick with a made in Japan Yamaha Clarinet

The tone of the clarinet seems to be pretty good, it is not as smooth as a concert quality wooden clarinet mind you, but for a plastic clarinet it is pretty good

The reeds that came with the clarinet were of very poor quality, so we just bought some different ones at the music store

I wish I thought to take a video of the sound before returning it so you will just have to trust me that this refurbished one is defective or just horrible quality

Over all, I have been very pleased with the clarinet, I have played it twice now, and found the quality, tone, and usability to be very good.

The newer Yamaha Clarinets are made in Indonesia and China which the quality is not as good in compairsion to the Japanese made ones

The mouthpiece isn't the best quality, swap it out for something better playing and you have a solid cheap clarinet that plays and sounds good
