I played trumpet in 7th and 8th grade and this is as good quality as the one that I had (which was a much more expensive brand) when I was playing.

GOOD QUALITY BRASS INSTRUMENTS are lacquered BRASS- not COPPER LEAD (which bends like a pipe cleaner, is hard to repair, and sounds like crap)
