When Metal Gear Solid 2 came out, it dazzled me with it's excellent graphics and new gameplay options, but left much to be desired for the plot

With the exciting gameplay, breath-taking graphics(for the time) and enormous plot and enviroments, this game was the 2nd biggest selling PS1 game, with FF7 coming in first

The gameplay is pretty good, with just the few flaws

What I have enjoyed are the cutscenes and the audio, but the gameplay I guess you can only like it if you are a fan of the series and hadn't played before Splinter Cell.

I have found the Gameplay to have alot more respect than the original

Still I have yet to get more than 1 or 2 Dogtags, but the gameplay is enjoyable and even possible for people like me who aren't the best gamers

The storyline is thick, but not too thick to ruin the gameplay.

The gameplay could be kinda confusing at first, but then you will get use to the controllers eventually

But that's a small price to pay, because this is a proper tribute to the PS-one classic's gripping story and innovative gameplay.

but it's not big a deal, if you ask me personally it brings a new dimension to an already fantastic game, now to my review, I love how the Developers use the Metal Gear Solid 2 engine in this game, it makes Shadow Moses and the characters look gorgeous, I love how they kept the iconic classic codec the way it was back in 1998, and in my personal paying I find it to be very cool, the voice acting is still top-notch, the gameplay is fantastic, it takes a classic formula and adds a mgs2 twist to an already good formula which adds more options, the story, it's still Metal Gear Solid with minor changes, if you love Metal Gear or if you are fan, please pick this up this is one remake that No metal gear fans should miss.

With better graphics, more gameplay controllers, and more bloodier

After the huge let down that was Metal Gear Solid 2, I was looking forward to this remake that would feature the same great gameplay mechanics as MGS2 with the same great storyline of MGS.

The gameplay is fantastic- unlike Splinter Cell (which is a great game), you can get out of situations alive

While the game does sport the much improved gameplay of MGS2, the level layouts are exactly the same and were not designed with these play mechanics in mind, rendering them pretty much unnecessary to use, with the exception of the first person view mode... which, as another reviewer pointed out, deletes certain challenges from the game

Don't get me wrong its a solid game and the gameplay is a improvement but the first game had more charm..

But mostly, the gameplay is alright, even fun at times

it feels cheezy in this remake but nevertheless the gameplay, the reason we all buy the game, clearly shines forth and has truly improved over its predecessor and is worth the buy.
