• Reviews around version (3.50 of 5)

Microsoft Office Home & Student 2016, 1 user, PC Key Card

    • Not as good as earlier versions, in my opinion.
    • Unfortunately Microsoft offers the standalone version of Office in a crippled form compared to the more expensive subscription version 365.In this case specifically, customizing toolbars is not in the standalone version even though it was in the 2011 version.
    • It's just what it says it is - if you liked previous versions, you'll like this one.
    • This version works much like the older one and is considerably better than the Mac OS equivalents.
    • The 2016 version of Microsoft Office is not working.
    • If you rely on using macros this version of Office does not work with those file types!!I am running on a MacBook Pro 15 2017i have gone to the apple store and to the microsoft store and talked to customer service on both sides and both of them claim that it is the other side that is causing the problem.
    • I purchased 2016 version because my previous version was no longer supported by latest Mac update
    • 2011 was the last decent version.
    • I upgraded to this version of Word because my previous version (2011) kept crashing on my new MacBook Pro.
    • In the slow version, things are a little more refined
    • The old 2003 version was perfect, but Microsoft just keeps mucking things up
    • This is the very worst version ever created
    • Easy to load but as with new software a learning (adjusting to quirks) curve takes valuable time for improvement (changes to sell new product). It works as good (not better) than previous Office version after adjusting and setting preferences and parameters.
    • He further suggested me to buy a new, correct version
    • Doesn't crash as much as the older versions
    • "Full version" isn't accurate because it doesn't have Power Pivot, which I"m just now leaning that I need in Week 11 of the class.
    • I liked my old version because when i type out an enevlope the bar code for the zip code automatically printed on the bottom of the envelope.
    • This New version of Office is much less useful and much more costly
    • I had the 2005 edition of Microsoft Works but this version of Word and Excel is much better.
    • Just what I needed for my new Windows 10 computer because my older version of Office had reached its maximum installs and Microsoft would not support its installation anymore
    • Rather than improving on the last version, this version takes me back to the Dark Ages
    • This is the better version especially for Mac, it's a one time purchase and no subscription nonsense
    • As it turns out, this version is not completely compatible with MathType (equation editing software), which makes it essentially useless to me as a math teacher.
    • Excel 2016 is the buggiest version I've ever used, and a constant source of frustration
    • It's been a week now, and I see only disadvantages vs. de previos 2011 version of Office for Mac
    • Compared to the 2010 version, the 2016 version is much slower in carrying out many tasks, especially when handling large documents
    • If you are looking for a "classic" version of Word, Excel, etc... you are better off staying with the 2007 Version
    • My son purchased and downloaded a version online--no problems
    • More substantial is the general bloatedness of Office 2016 compared to much earlier Microsoft Office applications, so I still keep the slim, sleek versions of Word and Excel from 1997 and 2000 on my hard drive.
    • I don't like this version at all
    • Much improved MAC version
    • Best version so far, and probably the last I'll buy since I refuse to pay an annual fee for Office.
    • Upon checking the actual version of the software (in Word or Excel go to File and then Account
    • I bought Word 2016 hoping that a more recent version of Word for Mac would be an improvement over Word 2011
    • I suggest that all users of the Amazon application service find a free trial version of the desired file and make sure that it will work.
    • Excellent version of this software.
    • I do not like this online version.
    • Buy a better version (link below)After having various issues during the install, I ended up buying a similar digital version of office with more programs, including outlook and costs less than half the price of this
    • Just call Microsoft support, provide them activation number and in matter of minutes they will set up for your country to use with proper language version
    • Each version get worst and worst
    • My problem is that I bought a new computer and the plan was to put newer versions of Word and Excel on it since that is what I use most
    • Really nice version
    • I don't know what the solution is if you, like I, have to have an updated version compatible with an updated OS, other than aggressively pursuing a tech support person who actually knows what they are doing
    • I liked the older version better.
