Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001 )

    • I like the design so much - seriously, the most ergonomic and comfortable keyboard I have used - so I decided to purchase again, but I also purchased one for someone else in my department
    • The keys are fantastic, the design is good and the detachable keypad is useful
    • Shortly after purchasing my Fellowes Microban Split Design Keyboard, Black (98915) I stumble across the Microsoft Sculpt
    • Finally a little design energy that improves the function and appearance of a keyboard
    • Wireless+ Sleek look+ Does not feel cheap+ Good design, especially being able to carry the USB receiver within the
    • nice design, quick response
    • The design of this keyboard is amazing, but it failed on me in two ways:1
    • I love the design and if you're a more casual user (I'm a developer that uses it every day for extended periods at ~80WPM), you might not see these issues and it would then be an incredible keyboard for you
    • Overall, the design is very slick, the keys feel great, and when I'm in the zone, I can type very quickly and efficiently
    • I love the compact design (however it's not a mobile keyboard, and it should be!).Please take in account, that even although I was highly experienced with Eurgonomic keyboards, it took me like 2 weeks to get used to this thing
    • It's such a missed opportunity for this otherwise fantastic design that I can't help but feel disappointed
    • If you like the split keyboard design, you should definitely try this keyboard
    • Very efficient design and still Ergonomic
    • The keyboard comes in a non-retail kraft corrugated box (like they took the keyboard from the keyboard and mouse set) Upon taking the keyboard out from the box, it is VERY nicely designed in fact, it may be the most beautifully designed keyboard that I have ever seen
    • Beautiful design, I like that it’s bluetooth, that it takes batteries, the key mechanism seems good
    • It is a poor design to separate number pad
    • Good mobility and very nice ergonomic design.
    • keyboards if you like the ergo wave/split design.
    • Cons:-Battery life is supposed to be quite long but only after a few months of use I am noticing it missing key strokes.-Awful design choice on making the function key a switch in the top right over a button (WHY??)-The detached 9 key is a
    • Nice design and feels good quality
    • The split keyboard design takes a week to get used to it (during which I was often hitting the wrong keys), so don't get discouraged on that account
    • Loved this keyboard while it was working - lightweight, comfortable design
    • The keyboard itself is one of the better ergo designs I've used, but there are a couple things that are pushing me to find an alternative.1
    • Great design.
    • The design is great and when it did work, I found it to be very comfortable to use.
    • Don't get me wrong : this is a great keyboard, great ergonomic design
    • I'd rate it one start out of anger for unreliable design and poor quality
    • Great, lightweight yet ergonomic design
    • I guess the designers felt that some keys needed to be stretched so that they can be reached with ease due to the split design
    • thin, light, good design, comfortable for wrist
    • Formerly my favorite keyboards were:- Fellowes Microban Split Design Keyboard, Black (98915)Still like, have a few
    • The overall design is very thin and light, but extremely sturdy
    • the design with a detached keyboard is absolutely brilliant
    • I love the quiet keys and the new compact smaller design.
    • In fact, the best design of a keyboard out of the 20-30 models I have used
    • The design is elegant and as far as typing A-Z it is also quite ergonomic, maybe more so than any other keyboard I've owned
    • It looks like it was designed that way, and I don't know why they didn't make it magnetic like they did the battery door
    • very modern design but lack of support at the wrists
    • I would only recommend this design if all the keyboards you use are the same.
    • It gives the same nice ergonomic design, but since everything is wireless you have more options for placement
    • In short, a some good design ideas, some bad design ideas, and some poor execution
    • light weight, nice ergonomic design,
    • Beautiful design, fits my arms and hands just
    • In short, a some good design ideas, some bad design ideas, and some poor execution
    • I absolutely love the feel of the keys, the design is extremely comfortable, and I love the minimalist design
    • Great design except detached number pad
    • (I tend to type while on calls, taking notes and checking things)The design is also great, wireless a wonderful addition, and the separate keypad is neat too.
    • Its design is really cool
    • Outstanding ergonomic design
    • helps with CTS, sleek design, and ergonomic!
    • Irritating, but the design is good and easy on my carpal tunnel syndrome.
    • The design is the best I've seen ergonomically and aesthetically, but they just don't last :(
    • Quiet, well designed, comfortable ergo pad
    • I've been using MS Ergo keyboards since 2000 and this latest iteration is, by far, the sexiest design
    • This is a really great design.
    • That said, it's a pretty nice keyboard design
    • The magnetic feature is a nice touch and adds to the futuristic design
    • Love the design and the switches, but either the mild redesign is awful or I got a bum keyboard
    • I also like that it's got a minimalist design, not a huge bulky design
    • Microsoft has to get there "stuff" together and put a quality build on top of this great design.
    • Sleek design as well.
    • Formerly my favorite keyboards were:- Fellowes Microban Split Design Keyboard, Black (98915)Still like, have a few
    • I love the design of the keyboard "very comfortable" but a few keys stick quite often and it doesn't type all the keys all the time
    • The Pros:- great ergonomic design (noticeably reduces stress on fingers)- nice tactile feedback- relatively quiet operation (typing is quieter than most)- wireless numpad provides a lot of flexibility- battery life has been
    • Overall, this is a very comfortable, and well-designed Keyboard.
    • While the keyboard's design is exceptional, the quality of the product is abysmal
    • * I like the split design and the fact that it can lean forward
    • I liked the design, but the glitches were frequent enough that I ended up sending it back.
    • I like the key movement and the ergonomic design
    • Most keyboard makers have abandoned the "split keyboard" ergonomic design for the mass market, and I found many of the very expensive professional ergonomic keyboards to be far too pricey for my taste and simply not to my liking
    • I wanted less desk space and a cooler design.
    • But, it's a beautiful design and it's a keyboard
    • I was used to using and has a really cool looking design
    • Loved the keyboard design, while it worked
    • The little magnetic battery door is a really thoughtful design element that I wouldn't have anticipated
    • If you like the split keyboard design, you should definitely try this keyboard
    • All in all it is an attractive design and layout.
    • I recommend the design itself, but not sure I'd recommend this after this problem has happened.
    • Great fit and design
    • Earlier designs of Microsoft wireless ergo keyboards were pointless, having little shape and no rise in the middle.
    • I love the overall design and the detached keypad.
    • MORE PROS==========Additional praise goes to an attractive design, comfortable wrist rest, wireless functionality, and months-long battery life
    • The design of this keyboard is amazing, but it failed on me in two ways:1
    • Wireless+ Sleek look+ Does not feel cheap+ Good design, especially being able to carry the USB receiver within the
    • I also really like the chicklet style keys and super sharp design.
    • I've been using this for over a month now, and here are a few takeaways:Pros:-Separate Numpad (finally!)-Comfortable & ergonomic layout-New chiclet keys with scissor switches-Efficient design connects via one USB dongle and is great for setups with limited Office SpaceCons:-No
    • Somebody over there agonized over it's design to make sure this keyboard was the best on the market
    • The good:Ease of use, separate keypad, comfort, bluetooth ease, and overall easy design
    • design is good
    • In the very limited time I used this keyboard, I found it to be both ergonomically and aesthetically well designed
    • Great style and design and quality.
    • The design seemed really neat and I appreciated the reduction in size
    • I love this thing - I get compliments all the time regarding the design and shape
    • Excellent design
    • -Media controls are placed as alternate FN keys and "toggled" by a switchOverall:-Excellent design and enough improvements upon its legendary predecessor make this fantastic keyboard a worthy upgrade for existing Natural 4000 users or for people in the market for a new ergo setup (especially those looking for a separate numpad).Conclusion:-Smooth transition from Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000-Steep learning curve for those not coming from split keyboard design-Competitive price when compared to other similar
    • I also like the compact design
    • This keyboard, however, was a departure....going back to the great design of the old "Natural" series design.
    • I love the design but these are such a poor quality to both fail so quickly.
    • The half-sized keys are another poor design decision for this keyboard.
    • Design looks pretty good, in my opinion
    • I love the ergonomic design, style, and separate keypad, BUT keys randomly stick producing a long line of repeated letters or spaces...pppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.
    • Which is a shame as in many ways the design (other than the function keys) is actually not bad
    • I used to have the original Microsoft Natural keyboard and liked the split design
    • nice design, but garbage quality
    • Generally this keyboard is a great design and I love the separate number pad, (I believe this is the only Num Pad with a Calc button out there) , however the connectivity is awful on both devices, every time you pause for over 15 to 30 seconds they go to sleep and ALWAYS miss the first keystroke when you start typing again, I do not recommend that you buy this keyboard as this is extremely frustrating
    • Idiotic hardware design.
    • Only because of its ergonomic design would I recommend this keyboard to anyone--if you can put up with its otherwise poor design.
    • The aesthetics of this keyboard is also sleek and is a bonus to this keyboard's great design
    • The keyboard is well designed, as is the mouse
    • I like the design of this keyboard, and I still feel that is an improved version of the 4000, but be warned, after little use, it won't look as pleasant as you would expect.
    • It is almost a perfect design, except that it is extremely unreliable.
    • I'm usually not a big fan of the angled/wrapped keyboards, but this one seems to be well designed to my hands
    • I have always been a fan of the split keyboard design and this is no exception.
    • (the right one is commonly used to type in Polish-specific letters; I managed to avoid frequent problems with the space bar, though.)The general concept and quality of the keyboard seem great but some absurd design decisions made this one pretty much unusable for me
    • Basically it fails the most basic requirements of a keyboard and no amount of cool design or ergonomics can make that OK
    • I would argue that it's a poor design
    • -Media controls are placed as alternate FN keys and "toggled" by a switchOverall:-Excellent design and enough improvements upon its legendary predecessor make this fantastic keyboard a worthy upgrade for existing Natural 4000 users or for people in the market for a new ergo setup (especially those looking for a separate numpad).Conclusion:-Smooth transition from Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000-Steep learning curve for those not coming from split keyboard design-Competitive price when compared to other similar
    • I'm also very happy that the ergonomic design relieves stress on my wrists and shoulders.
    • I didn't find a huge benefit from the full-split designs
    • i goodwill’d the number padmy wrists thank you
    • Additionally, functions like CTRL+D do not work.
    • I would like to see a wired version of this keyboard to resolve the N-key rollover issues and the failing to register the letting up of buttons after they have been held for a while
