Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001 )

    • Probably once per page or paragraph, I have to go back and correct a capitalization issue where the shift key didn't get sent when I pressed it
    • The main issue for you would be comfort and usability, so there's no harm in taking it for a test drive and then returning it if you don't like it after a few days.
    • UPDATE 4/30/2014:The keyboard has intermittent connection issues in which does not register CTRL + shortcuts too well and it makes me repeat the action causing delays and breaks in my workflow
    • This is very helpful for my RSI (Repetitive stress injury) and issue I have with the tendonitis (tennis elbow)
    • Those keyboards worked perfectly fine, so there might be an issue with this specific model.
    • My home Sculpt keyboard is only a year old and has so many weird buggy issues: It sends messed up signals to my computer (lots of beeping), every few minutes it misses input (causing me to wri mesd up sentces) even with fresh batteries and the dongle 6-inches away, and it goes through batteries in 30 days rather than the 90-120 that I used to get.- Pursuing Microsoft warranty
    • My coworker bought one of these almost a year ago and is suffering very similar issues
    • Wireless issues are commonplace.
    • I would suspect bad wireless or an issue with their USB adapter, but that doesn't entirely make sense given that they all worked for some time initially
    • The bad: occasional keypress issues (may be related to a week receiver as others have noted), tough to clean, keys are too soft, fn keys are different from other keys, not too durable (six months in and keys in one are appear to be shorting out)Bottom line: can't say that it's a great keyboard, but there aren't any other decent basic, compact ergo keyboards out there.
    • Was having some fore arm fatigue and strain issues so tried this guy out
    • prompt delivery, no issues ... good product
    • Though the biggest issue I have is the lack of a caps lock / insert/ numberlock lights
    • I worked out the above two things, I had no further issues, for going on four months now
    • There is one weird issue tho, the Scroll Lock turns on all the time without having clicked it
    • I got it especially for a conference where the noise would be an issue
    • Had initial issues with bluetooth getting disconnected, but after driver updates, all good
    • This is a good ergonomic keyboard, except for one obnoxious issue... the spacebar has no padding under it so is very LOUD.
    • This is an amazing keyboard that seems to be held back by pretty bad quality control issues
    • I also had issues with it losing connectivity every now and then
    • It's a mostly great keyboard with one annoying issue which is why I reduced it 1 star.
    • The "U" key broke after 3 months
    • The first one had a defective U key that feels like something is stuck under it.
