Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business (5KV-00001 )

    • The armrest is great, however I admit that its upper material does not seem like the most durable thing ever (I prefered the material they used in the 4000 series)
    • and I hate that thing so very much
    • One VERY important thing to keep in mind -- guard that wireless receiver with your life
    • I had to relearn to type a little (previously I always hit the B key with my right hand, and so the placement of B and V on this keyboard took some getting used to), but after that I grew to love this thing
    • I love this thing
    • I am sure you can use it on a Mac or other things like Ubuntu
    • Yes, this thing is amazing in a variety of ways
    • One thing I don't like is that a set of Duracell AAA cells exploded in the one I had at work, while I was using it
    • I love this keyboard, it is the best thing I've bought in a long time.
    • And best thing, my shoulder/arm do not hurt any more!!
    • I love this keyboard... the only thing I wish it had was an on/off switch.
    • Amazing thing
    • I quite like the fact that the keys are shallow like a laptop. Feels very similar to me to a mac keyboard (which, for me is a good thing).
    • Having the separate number pad seemed like a good idea, but then I realized that I actually use it a lot and having it separate was not a good thing at all
    • Fresh batteries, same thing
    • But after a while, my wrists start to hurt, and that's also not a positive thing.
    • BUT THE STAND-ALONE NUMBER PAD IS THE WORST THING
    • ORIGINAL:---------------This thing is awesome
    • Once I started researching proper keyboard ergonomics I realized that my posture and what I was using was not the healthiest thing I could do
    • Quite possibly the best thing Microsoft has ever made.
    • I appreciate the split layout from the Natural Keyboard 4000, one thing I find quite inconvenient is the frequent hand travel from the keyboard to my mouse (I am right handed)
    • This thing is plagued by stuck and unresponsive keys
    • Absolutely no pain using this thing 9+ hours each day
    • My one criticism is that the number pad stopped connecting after a few months, but to be honest that thing was just annoying to begin with.
    • Besides that one feature I can't say enough great things about this keyboard.
    • But after a while, my wrists start to hurt, and that's also not a positive thing.
    • I hate those things, but I know a lot of people like them
    • Good keyboard but the only thing that bothers me is that sometimes when my computer is off the keyboard will drain the battery that's inside like if it was on the entire day when it's not
    • One thing that I would have preferred with this keyboard is that when using the numerical pad my fingerprints smudge up the glossy surface
    • I just think they put a little too much emphasis on making this thing look elegant and simple at the expense of making it much less ergonomic than it could have been
    • I had one of these at work and decided to purchase another so I could enjoy the same thing at home.
    • and it makes taking notes during conference calls and things silent and not disturbing.
    • The best thing is it's much quieter.
    • Husband loves this thing
    • The key feel of the logitech isn't nearly as nice; however, the risk of doing something seriously bad inadvertently is just too big a deal to keep the silly things.
    • Good thing I did
    • It's not nearly as efficient as operating with a regular keyboard, but it does improve things somewhat.
    • It took a couple days to figure out how that thing fit and worked
    • All things considered, I would definitely recommend it as an upgrade to anyone who has the older 4000 model.
    • The only thing is that battery in a num keys section has very small capacity so will die much faster than main keyboard
    • Regardless, this thing is great!!!!
    • This thing is incredible, everytime I type on it, I'm
    • I can't find the damn thing anywhere
    • But I don't really plan to keep this thing long enough to see if I run into that issue
    • I was ordering a 4000 when I stumbled across this pretty thing.
    • (The same thing has worked for Apple but in a much more honest and ethical way
    • I worked out the above two things, I had no further issues, for going on four months now
    • The last thing you need in VI is a CapsLock lurking around
    • I love this thing
    • I love this thing - I get compliments all the time regarding the design and shape
    • I've used this piece at work (heavy data entry) for over a year and a half, and things are much better than they could have been with a standard keyboard
    • As a lefty being able to set the numpad on the left side of the keyboard is the most amazing thing ever as it makes it actually usable
    • Some keys are not letting me capitalize them and the interface is starting to do strange things with pulling up windows and other functions without me prompting
    • Without a doubt the greatest thing Microsoft has ever made.
    • Bad things I didn't know about
    • Which is a good thing
    • One thing I'd like to add is that, for me at least, this keyboard works best when it's sitting on my lap without the provided "riser
    • , on your computer, then maybe you will love this thing
    • These things are significant enough for me to not give a 5-star review
    • The funny thing is that I use a Mac!
    • T e overall function of the keyboard is great.
    • The H and G key are my worse
    • I would like to see a wired version of this keyboard to resolve the N-key rollover issues and the failing to register the letting up of buttons after they have been held for a while
