In my microwave, it takes approximately 5 minutes to boil, which is much longer than my ceramic container.

I don't know why the 5 minute maximum warning: whether there is BPA that would leach into your water at the 5 minute mark, or some other potentially unsafe reaction, or exceeding 5 minutes could cause the until to melt, explode,or some other kitchen calamity.
